Weekly Therapy Schedule:

Mondays
Occupational Therapy
Physical Therapy
Tuesdays
Physical Therapy + Occupational Therapy or Teacher Visit
Wednesdays
Speech Therapy
Thursdays
Physical Therapy
In additon to his therapies, at-home we must incorporate consistent stretching and sensory input exercises to increase Brooks’ range of motion and build a foundation for processing sensory information.
Equipment & Support:
Brooks currently uses:
AFO leg braces
Glasses (bifocals)
Benik vest (for posture)
Gait trainer (working toward obtaining one of his own)
Current Challenges:
Brooks is still unable to:
Sit independently
Crawl or walk
Stand on his own
Eat with utensils or drink independently
Insurance Challenge:
Insurance has denied coverage for these therapies, calling them “non-covered due to congenital conditions.”
Because of this, we pay out of pocket and carry additional insurance just to access the crucial care he needs to function at a base level.
Benik vest provides trunk support and stability to help Brooks learn proper posture and stability.
AFO leg braces to support, align, and improve the function of his feet and ankles.
At physical therapy - using a peanut ball to help with stability while also streching his legs.
Why Therapy Matters:
Every session helps build strength, mobility, and independence. Without these therapies, progress would stop. Consistence is key.
